Acoustic probe

For measuring and localization of sound source is possible to use acoustic probe. The measuring principle lies in the assembly of the network made of measured points, whose distance is selected based on the size of the examined part. In every nodal point of the network is subsequently performed measuring of sound intensity. Employing the algorithm STSF is then assembled intensity image in the plain defined by measuring network. Frequency range of measuring is from 50 Hz to 5 kHz.

Acoustic camera

After a closer identification of noise source it is possible to use acoustic camera which, with the use of microphone field in real time, displays and records information about the measured component in the form of image, with colorful map film, clearly indicating noise source.

Our acoustic camera from National Instruments nowadays belongs to one of the most modern of its kind. To evaluate the acoustic characteristics the camera employs methods SONAH and Beamforming. Thanks to various versions of microphone field we are able to perform measuring of differently sized objects, including closed spaces – as are the cabins of vehicle or tractor.
