Solution of Diesel Engines’ NVH

The Institute makes use of contemporary experimental and computational methods to solve issues with lowering noise and vibrations of compression ignition engines.

To lower the vibrations in the phase of pre-development and development of the prototype are used unique computational approaches based on commercial and in-house software tools. Is possible to utilize commercial MKP systems ANSYS and NASTRAN, or MBS software ADAMS. At the Institute were developed highly specialized software for construction evaluation based on the production of vibrations and notice in the phase of virtual prototypes.

For vibration and noise evaluation of existing compression ignition engines is possible to use specialized experimental technique:

  • Acoustic camera to detect the source of the noise in power trains
  • Acoustic probe for detailed detection of the distribution of the noise source in power trains
  • Vibration Sensors to determine the vibrations of powertrain parts
  • Electrodynamic shaker for various excitations of powertrain parts
